These templates are minimal. I prefer putting important information in a notes block to avoid splitting application specific information into multiple places. Onshape does not have a feature like blocks like SOLIDWORKS, and I still prefer to manage one template per size, rather than one template per size and application.

DWT files will also import drawing properties such as line widths, arrow heights, fonts, all other customizations.

I then use a separate blank template where I can curate and copy out the application specific notes. Linked properties are maintained when copying/pasting. See DWG notes.
